When is God of War: Laufey coming out?

There is no release date. The reveal's ending card simply marked the game as “in development,” framed as “Coming Soon.” Santa Monica Studio has not given a year, a season, or a window. It was shown at the June 2, 2026 State of Play with roughly 20–23 minutes of gameplay, and it is a mainline God of War entry — not a spin-off.

Why everyone says “2027” (and why it's a rumor)

If you've seen “2027” everywhere, here's the important part: that is a rumor, not an official date. It traces back to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who said the game “isn't years away” and — asked whether it targets 2028 — answered “definitely not.” Press outlets read those two comments together and landed on 2027 as a best guess. Schreier never named 2027, and the studio has confirmed nothing. Treat any specific year as speculation until Santa Monica says otherwise.

Platforms — is it on PS5? What about PC?

God of War: Laufey is confirmed exclusively for the PlayStation 5 — the only platform Santa Monica has announced. A PC version has not been announced. Sony's recent first-party titles have often reached PC eventually, so a later port is plausible, but as of the reveal there is no confirmation, no date, and no listing for one.
